Seeing world from the couch
Virtual tourism means that you don't have to travel anywhere. You can buy a trip or holiday and enjoy all experiences using technological equipment, for example your smart phone, tablet or home computer. To have more experiences you can use a headset to hear sounds of your destination. Just by sitting on a couch you can enjoy the feeling that you are in a museum or when you are taking a bath you can imagine being in a hotspot in Iceland. You can experience the real feeling about the destination when you are doing a virtual tour correct.
The advantages of virtual tourism are: you don't need to spend time on traveling to the destination and in a short time you can see much more than if you walked to one attraction to another. Also you save money because you don't have to fly or book a hotel. But do you really want to see the world only by electronic devices without being there physically?
Local people in tourist destinations may lose their jobs and won't earn money if people stop going there and start to travel virtually.
Our opinion is that virtual tourism is just pointless. You can't feel anything as much through glasses or a screen, as you can when you are really there. For example, waiting at the airport for your flight to leave or seeing real lions on safari in Africa. That moment when you leave the airport at your destination is something you can't even imagine if you're just sitting on your recliner.
